How is your own life going?

Watch the video below “How to Stand Out in Your Industry”

If you’re creative at work and an inspirational speaker then I have selected this short video that I hope you will find interesting. Video by Simon Sinek.

Are you fullfillied by the work you do?

There are some people who seek pleasure at someone else’s expense. They think they get happiness from mistreating others. Follow your own path in life and live your unique path.

I love articles and learning around wisdom and emotional intelligence. When I’m in a state of flow, like being in a river, the flow of water pushes you away. I am focused. 😊

Teaching for long-term memory is not information it’s inspiration. For example, it is not easy to cramm for an exam. “Our curriculum and assessments are not designed with working memory in mind.” Our brains have limited space. If students can’t remember what they’ve learnt, the system is failing them.

We need an education system based on the study by Joe Kirby.

Having just one study session, followed by three short testing sessions – and then a final assessment –  will out perform any other pattern. Who would have thought? Article by Joe Kirby

You can’t be a great teacher if you stop being a student. Sometimes, you can learn best by teaching. Patience is a virtue. You can only achieve perfection or get close to it by practicing.

Are you unhappy?

Creating Pathways to Better Communication 😀💜

Could you please explain it to me in more simple terms?

Be none the wiser – Video by Simon Sinek

Reading is the key to understanding our world. I am not here to change the system, I’m here to change our approaches. Change the people, and you change the system. We are in this together. The future is up to us.

“The world hates change, yet it is the only thing that has brought progress.”

Charles Kettering

Lisa Ower mentions in her article here  ‘No matter what the change is, big or small, it must be able to link to your culture, overall purpose and vision of the company. Even if management views the change as beneficial, if your employees can’t link the change to the existing culture or organizational purpose, it will be difficult for them to carry out these transformations.’

Questions to Ask Yourself

  • How do I think?
  • How are humans are wired?
  • How to change my mindset?
  • What does success look like to me?
  • How does the human brain react?
  • What’s in it for me?
  • Ways to understand my behaviour?

For me change is good change, change is hard. It is part of the human experience. I found change difficult and I felt insecure about myself, but it was worth it.

I made the toughest decision to close my struggling business and lost my home nine years ago. My family fell apart and as a mum I struggled through the hard times, putting myself in a difficult situation. It’s taken a lot of mental clarity to help me find my focus and direction, it forced me to go to the next level. I went through a very emotional journey, me against the world. Sometimes you need to do you and take a step back to live a peaceful and authentic life. Show up and love them hard, only then will you realise what’s important.

“In order to change the world, you have to get your head together first.”

Jimi Hendrix

Eventually, realised I needed to take responsibility for my life and my happiness. Happiness is a choice. I had to put myself first before supporting my children’s mental health. Happy mum, happy child. It improved my confidence and well-being. My life and  motherhood  has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows but never boring. Helping my children was a great way to help myself.

What’s your culture, purpose and vision?

I’ve learned through my journey that doing too much for your kids is not an effective parenting strategy.

“Very often a change of self is needed more than a change.”

Combat Control: We Always Have Fear When Facing the Unknown

Business leaders need to have the courage, the strength, the resilience to bounce back from Covid-19.

Gobal leaders need to be motivated by the job itself to do a good job; their first priority in business is to act on humanity and the second priority is to make money.

Larry Bird quoted – “Don’t let winning make you soft. Don’t let losing make you quiet. Don’t let your teammates down in any situation.”

Our world is changing and Covid-19 and other chronic diseases will impact our lives forever. Covid-19 is like another disease and are rising in numbers. It is caused by what we do to the environment; driven by today’s lifestyle. We need to rise together to protect life on earth from destruction, global pandemics, deforestation, bad governance, corruption, nuclear war, political and economic systems.

I am optimistic that social and behavioural changes will come from this.
