Creating Pathways to Better Communication ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ’œ

Could you please explain it to me in more simple terms?

Reading is the key to understanding our world. I am not here to change the system, I’m here to change our approaches. Change the people, and you change the system. We are in this together. The future is up to us.

โ€œThe world hates change, yet it is the only thing that has brought progress.โ€

Charles Kettering

Lisa Ower mentions in her article here  ‘No matter what the change is, big or small, it must be able to link to your culture, overall purpose and vision of the company. Even if management views the change as beneficial, if your employees canโ€™t link the change to the existing culture or organizational purpose, it will be difficult for them to carry out these transformations.’

Questions to Ask Yourself

  • How do I think?
  • How are humans are wired?
  • How to change my mindset?
  • What does success look like to me?
  • How does the human brain react?
  • What’s in it for me?
  • Ways to understand my behaviour?

For me change is good change, change is hard. It is part of the human experience. I found change difficult and I felt insecure about myself, but it was worth it.

I made the toughest decision to close my struggling business and lost my home nine years ago. My family fell apart and as a mum I struggled through the hard times, putting myself in a difficult situation. It’s taken a lot of mental clarity to help me find my focus and direction, it forced me to go to the next level. I went through a very emotional journey, me against the world. Sometimes you need to do you and take a step back to live a peaceful and authentic life. Show up and love them hard, only then will you realise what’s important.

โ€œIn order to change the world, you have to get your head together first.โ€

Jimi Hendrix

Eventually, realised I needed to take responsibility for my life and my happiness. Happiness is a choice. I had to put myself first before supporting my children’s mental health. Happy mum, happy child. It improved my confidence and well-being. My life and  motherhood  has been a rollercoaster of highs and lows but never boring. Helping my children was a great way to help myself.

What’s your culture, purpose and vision?

I’ve learned through my journey that doing too much for your kids is not an effective parenting strategy.

โ€œVery often a change of self is needed more than a change.”
